Heart Centered Hypnotherapty

Most people face difficulties pointing out feelings they are going through and understanding why they are going through them. We have found that individuals begin to feel numb towards feelings accepting them as part of their lives, often not knowing why they feel the way do.   This is a suppression mechanism that individuals don’t realize is occurring, often inhibiting our ability to trust and express ourselves in an effective manner. These are limiting beliefs and generalizations that are often not clear to individuals.

Heart Centered Hypnotherapy creates an understanding that the heart is key to re-establishing love you have within for yourself.

Heart Centered Hypnotherapy is based on the experiential ability to extend deep healing and care with a focus on feelings such as anger, shame, loneliness, sadness, fear, pain, and hurt. The approach occurs focuses on a process that helps individuals to identify patterns as to why they may feel that they have to be perfect, they feel a sense of abandonment, and face rejection which extenuate feelings that cause pain and suffering.

How is Heart Centered Hypnotherapy leveraged.  Let’s help you understand it.  Differentiating between projections and feelings is vitally important. Being in a relationship has its ups and down, and sometimes when things aren’t going well, people push their projections onto their significant others.  These often turn into arguments as perspectives are not clearly identifiable. Understanding thoughts such "I don’t understand why my significant other is constantly upset with me" is not a feeling is is core towards a heart centered perspective. Understanding that the feeling underneath a statement like that could be rooted in fear or sadness connected with past experiences of being rejected and abandoned. Through Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, we will be able to get in touch with true feelings enabling the ability to express them willingly and freely.

Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy has been extensively and successfully used to treat a myriad of issues affecting the dysfunctions that exist affecting families or relationships, targeting long-term memories, emotions, relationships, habits, addictive patterns, and predictive intuitions.  The approach helps individuals identify core feelings behind specific experiences and reason for them, helping you to identify and stop unhealthy behavioral patterns.

Heart Centered Hypnotherapy is foundational in Warrior Heart Therapy’s practice towards healing.

Rapid Trauma Resolution Therapy

Trauma can long-lasting effects, as lives are altered after traumatic events. Survivors of trauma see things through an entirely different lens things that happened to you in the past can continue to replay in your mind day after day. Recovering from traumatic experiences is often difficult as healing is not quick. Regressing from traumatic experiences is often the continuous challenge most face.  Healing from trauma is a process that takes every individual different time to come to terms in learning how heal from it. When trauma isn’t processed, it can turn into a disorder, and can extend into a longer-term condition that result in unwanted flashbacks and imagery experiences that haunt an individual’s ability to function. Things such flashbacks can feel so real, creating experiences so strong that the emotional reaction often effect our physical abilities.

As an inherit avoidance mechanism, individuals go to great lengths to avoid contact with potential triggers which only extenuate a greater level of distress in their lives.  This has an effect on our lives as people often become tired, restless, suffer from headaches, have difficulty sleeping, and feel overwhelmed. These symptoms can are contributors in feeling disconnected, persistent anger, bouts of depression, being hypersensitive, becoming defensive, and feeling a loss of hope. The effects the mental state trickle into our physical well-being as people struggle with weight loss from undereating, weight gain from overeating, chronic pains, retracting from relationships, and social isolation. While these kinds of experiences are commonly found in individuals suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), traumas are not isolated to a disorder and affect everyone differently whether they are acutely aware of it or not. We’re here to tell you you’re not alone and show you how you too can overcome what only feels like an insurmountable wall.

Rapid Trauma Resolution Therapy is a form of psychotherapy designed to help individuals overcome the ongoing effects associated with traumatic experiences. The therapy uses guided imagery, hypnosis, stories, and other types of communication to resolve troubling thoughts, emotions and behaviors with the goal of helping trauma survivors identify their trauma and the root cause of those feelings and symptoms.

Warrior Heart Therapy uses Rapid Resolution Therapy to help eliminate the negative impacts of past experiences in the lives of our clients. Through the use of clinical hypnosis, our team applies techniques that begin to remove layers of traumatic pain in a short amount of time. The method is designed to be rapid as the therapy is designed to last a few sessions. Warrior Heart Therapy is along for your journey, but we work on enabling you with the tools that stay with you.  We enable you with the ability to recognize and react, to take control and be self-reliant and resilient so you can be your best version of yourself. We contribute a little to your life as an enablement gateway so you can contribute a lot.

Acceptance Commitment Therapy

Avoidance is defined as the action of keeping away from or not doing something.  It the practice of keeping away from or withdrawing from something undesirable in our lives. Avoidance behaviors are any behavior people use to escape or distract themselves from difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations. This can look like avoiding new job opportunities, career advancements, relationships, social situations, recreational activities, and family get-togethers. Avoidance provides temporary relief from anxiety, shame, and other uncomfortable feelings. Avoidance is often mischaracterized when at its core, it’s a coping mechanism.  Avoidance is is a form of emotional control that control our thoughts and feelings. Avoidance can be healthy if you know what you’re controlling, but more often avoidance itself is rooted from a negative perspective and not a constructive one, which can lead to unintended consequences.

At Warrior Heart Therapy, we work with clients to develop ways in learning to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions, instead finding way to accept that there are deeper feelings at play and methodologies in finding appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent individuals from moving forward in their lives. With this understanding, our clients begin to accept hardships for what they are, and work with us in committing to making necessary changes in their behavior.

Challenging?  Yes.

Daunting?  At first.

Rewarding?  Without question.

Acceptance Commitment Therapy is an action-oriented approach to psychotherapy that stems from traditional and cognitive behavior therapies. Let’s break that down into simplistic terms.  We begin by working with you on letting go of unnecessary habits or controls, helping to map out the emotional costs in your lives that have an impactf towards other aspects of your life including those in physical, spiritual, professional, and personal. We will teach you to you’re the way you talk to and yourself to recognize key foundational behaviors, building off of non-critical behaviors before beginning tackle traumatic events, problematic relationships, physical limitations, or other challenges you may be encountering. The ability to accept first the commit is way to help you develop prioritizations, identifying when and which problems require attention at what points in your day and life. We help you look at what hasn’t worked for you in the past, work with you on stopping cyclical thought patterns that have resulted in certain reactionary behaviors and turn them in more predictive behaviors and give you greater control over.

Letting go of ineffective patterns of behavior is hardest when you can’t see them because you’re living them.  At Warrior Heart Therapy, we will teach you how to be present and stay mindful of your surroundings, staying with the present moment, taking a stance of accepting what is not in our control, and moving towards what matters – you!

Attachment Based Theory

We all have an affinity and attachment for things as we experience them.  We all carry an affection, fondness, or affinity for the things, people, and perspectives that impact us.  Our attachments create a foundation towards our expectations, which made its way into the mainstream when attachment theory was first brought to light by renowned British psychologist John Bowlby. He described attachment as a "lasting psychological connectedness between human beings." As a psychologist, he was interested in understanding the anxiety and distress that children experience when separated from their primary caregivers.

According to a study in childhood attachment and adult personalities, a failure to form secure attachments early in life can impact one’s behaviors later in childhood and having a domino effect throughout one’s life.

A great deal of our attachments can be traced back in times from early childhood through our adults’ lives, however, our modern-day environment is more connected to external influences than ever before.  As therapists ourselves, we are equally interested in the same experiences but expand into how those experiences are impacting our lives well beyond adolescence not limited to those who directly impacted like our parents, but the modern-day accessibility through technologies that influence and shape our lives that sometimes have more impact than those of our primary caregivers.  The opportunity of what individuals attach themselves to is no longer a process that is straightforward or easily identifiable.

Attachment Based Theory describes how our early relationships with a people we come in contact including parents and/or caregivers, most commonly identified in our parents, and those relationships create an expectation for how we should act, be, or love. Our view of ourselves and others is molded by how these early impacts have affected our lives, developing a responsiveness to meet our emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.

At Warrior Heart Therapy, we start by identifying your unique attachment styles by getting to know the four patterns of attachment widely agreed upon in adults which are security (being comfortable), avoidance (being dismissive), anxiousness (being pre-occupied), and disorganized (being fearful).  We guide you through the learning process and how these four patters commonly affect your relationships.  Now that you are acquainted with the four patterns, you probably have an idea of which one you lean towards. Maybe it’s more than one.  To better you understand your attachment style, we will put in the effort - together. Whether you are working through it us at Warrior Heart Therapy, we’ll work with you simplifying to understand where you’re struggling and find ways to heal those areas of dismissiveness, pre-occupations, and fearfulness.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Have you ever thought you did awful at a task at work, horribly on a presentation, or submitted a sub-par school assignment but ended up with compliments on the work done or passing with flying colors on the paper? You might even questions yourself being in disbelief or convincing yourself that the reaction or grade you received was done so in error.

Welcome to the no-so-wonderful world of your mind leading you astray.

Psychological problems are based on learned patterns of unhelpful behaviors, but what is learned can be unlearned and replaced with new learned behaviors. We are Warrior Heart Therapy believe that people suffering from psychological problems can be taught better ways of coping with problems. We can help rewire the brain in an effort to relieve symptoms towards becoming more effective in their lives.  As individuals, we carry automatic reactions often riddled with negative thoughts play as a contributing actor that worsen our circumstances are difficult to begin with. When we are facing challenges, we rely on our reactionary behaviors especially when time and effort aren’t on our sides, more often than not spontaneous actions that may have a detrimental influence towards our emotions.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a recognized psychological treatment that has a demonstrated effectiveness in tackling a wide range of problems including depression, phobias, anger, obsessiveness (OCD), mental illness, relationship problems, anxiety disorders, substance use, and eating disorders. It is a therapy that helps individuals learn how to identify and change the destructive or disturbing behaviors and thoughts that have a negative influence on their lives. Just like most therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy is designed create significant improvements in an individual’s ability to function leading to a better quality of life.

We teach you new skills that can are not applied in theory but applied to specific aspects that are unique to you in lessening or eliminating the negative cognitive distortions that your mind is convincing you to believe about yourself that are generally never necessarily true.

Warrior Heart Therapy’s cognitive therapy aims to evacuate the distortions from your mind, creating a sense of self-awareness, and redirecting the negative thoughts that will significantly improve your emotions, behaviors, mood, and overall quality of life.

Emotion Focused Therapy

When we work out, we know that our body temperature increases, and heart rate elevates.  From this elevation, our body produces and secretes sweat from glands that help cool us down and regulate our body temperatures.

Have you ever wondered what triggers your emotions?  Really tried to understand the mechanics that goes into creation of producing a single emotion, let alone the wide range of emotions we produce.

Unsuccessful attempts to understand and control one’s emotions could exacerbate many issues unbeknownst to most. When we look at the causation of emotions, its easy to the what will happen and not the why.  People’s actions who experience depression may spend large amounts of time avoiding situations that lower their mood, but not realize as to how they ended up in state.  They just know they’re in that state as their learned behaviors take control. People who experience anxiety might often feel debilitated by their attempts to reduce fear and worry, but not truly understand why they even feared a possibility that has not come fruition. People may try to stay as far away as possible from other people or things that provoke depression and fear, never truly understanding their actions or motives.  They just adhere to the emotion and let it control their lives.

As with breathing techniques, Warrior Heart Therapy looks at emotions as something you can control.  Taking deep breathes and feeling the air being sucked into the lungs and slowly released back out can extended to understanding the feeling of when an emotion arises, taking it into your mind to understand the effects it has on the rest of the body like increased tension and timidness, and learn how to alleviate those emotions by releasing the thoughts out of your mind.

Emotion Focus Therapy is focused on taking the lack of our emotional awareness and arriving at understanding how our emotions are produced through heightened awareness and acceptance.  Our sessions are design to enable your ability to learn emotions, transform them, and find better uses of the information identified to avoid negative or harmful behaviors that effect your range of emotions.  Our team practices a compassionate, unbiased, non-judgmental, and reflective approach to listening to you and asking the right questioning you might not realize need to be questioned. This allows the person in therapy come to a better understanding of their emotions.  Learning to experience your emotions and not suppress them can turn a debilitating weakness into a strength.

At Warrior Heart Therapy, our emotional therapies is designed to heighten your state of emotional intelligence so that you come to see emotions as a super power, a valuable sources of information, and powerful tool instead of painful, debilitating, or difficult emotion to control.

Mindfulness Therapy

Spatial awareness is knowing where your body is in space in relation to objects or other people. To have good spatial awareness you also need to understand and respond to a change in position from these objects.  You cannot have good spatial awareness unless you’re in the right frame of mind.  One has to be mindful of their surroundings, and in tune with the thoughts and emotions that accompany it.  Spatial awareness can be affected by many contributing factors.  If any of this sounds familiar to you, you shouldn’t be surprised as you or someone you know or love may have or been dealing with bouts of anger, phobias, anxiety, chronic pains, lack of concentration, insomnia, depression, substance abuse, emotional regulations, fatigue, fear, mood swings, high blood pressure, focus, mental illness, self-confidence, or memory loss.  Any one of these symptoms can have effect on you being mindful and in a state of awareness as distractions deter from accomplishments, professional outcomes, and personal productivity.

Mindfulness is a state where one is aware of their internal thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  It is a state where they are aware of their external surroundings.  It is state where they can comprehend and decipher situations without automatic responses such as judgment or stress. Being mindful allows us to hear that inner voice, acknowledge its message, and examine its origination to factor its impacts on our lives.

Mindfulness therapy does this by incorporating awareness of thoughts, emotions, feelings, surroundings, and situations. It involves conversations with professionals that help a person develop greater awareness of their thoughts and the world around them. This increased awareness helps them avoid destructive or automatic responses or habit.

Warrior Heart Therapy enables one’s ability to be consciously aware of your present moment.  Unlike Yoga, Mindfulness therapy is not design with the intent to enable a state of relaxation.  It’s not a retreat from reality or a fixation of a singular thought to clear your mind.  It’s quite the opposite. Our focus is on increasing your awareness in your thoughts, feelings, and actions that control, hinder, or halt productivity and progress. We’re going to help flex the muscles in your mind. We are going to get you comfortable in becoming acquainted with your negative modalities of thinking while developing a new relationship towards your experiences. A less reactive relationship with those experiences. Most importantly, a new relationship with yourself.

When you are better able manage these factors, you can engage with those aspects within yourself and learn to tweak language, thoughts, and responses on your terms. At Warrior Heart Therapy, we want you to be mindful of the self – yourself.

Mind over matter.

Insight Therpary

Insights are the interpretations of the subconscious, where one has a clear, deep, and sometimes sudden understanding of a complicated problem or situation. There are unresolved conflicts that may be the cause of problems throughout adulthood because they are hidden from your conscious awareness.

Symptoms are unfortunately endless.  Individuals suffering from such things as low self-esteem, anxiety, irritability, grief, physical pain, depression, sexual difficulties, loneliness, self-identification, relationship difficulties, and difficulty adjusting to change.  These are signs that problems may stem from an internal conflict rather than poor circumstances, and sometimes external factors beyond your control.

Insight therapy is a form of treatment in which our therapists work with you to help understand how specific beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and experiences from your past impact the present. Believe it or not, your state of mind provides insights that are commonly used in a variety of types of mental health treatment. Since insights are the interpretations of the subconscious, tackling them requires the ability to associate an approach that works for you.  At Warrior Heart Therapy, we understand that one size does not fit all, and one technique does not fit every personality.  To gain the right insights takes the right orientation.  In Insight Therapy, we leverage varying approaches not limited to:

• Interpretation of Dreams

• Metaphoric Conveyance

• Confronting Conflicts

• Word Association

• Psychoeducation

• Symptomatic Interpretations

• Exploration of Past Experiences

Insight Therapy places a large emphasis on your personal discovery. The purpose of insight therapy is to facilitate insights, correlating the past into the present. It dives deep into both psychological and behavioral functions with an aim to bring unconscious ideas and beliefs into consciousness.

Suffering from low self-worth? We welcome that. We will walk through and analyze the causation of your negative view of self-worth. Is at an issue of having been bullied as a child, raised by non-supportive parents, picked on at any stage of life, or weight issues that made you feel less attractive and reclusive? We will help you identify and tackle how these past scenarios are affecting behaviors in the present. We will trace negative thought patterns and direct you towards more positive ways of thinking. As a Warrior Heart Therapist, we help gain insights into the past that can be used to address issues that are currently happening.

Solution Focused Therapy

Everyone wants to predict the future, that’s why when you hear someone is a futurist you are automatically drawn out of curiosity.

A futurist is a person who studies the future and makes predictions about it based on current trends. Futurists are people whose specialty is to attempt to systematically explore predictions and possibilities about the future and how they can emerge from the present.  The key word here is to attempt.  A futurist does not have all the answers, but a firm belief in their ability to see a problem, solve a problem.  Well, in this case, not solve a problem but presume an outcome based on a trend that they analyzed.

At Warrior Heart Therapy, we strongly believe you are no different than futurist.  While a futurist’s predictions are generalized for most of humanity across most geographies and demographics, we will show you how to be your own futurist with a focus on a single geography of yourself and a single demographic of your mind.

Solution Focused Therapies are future-focused, goal-directed with a strong focus on solution-based outcomes rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek us out in the first place. Unlike traditional forms of therapy that take time to analyze problems based on past experiences, Solution Focused Therapy concentrates on finding solutions in the present and exploring one’s hope for the future in order to find a quick and pragmatic resolution towards problems.  Solution Focused Therapy treats patients of all ages, cultures, deities, backgrounds, faiths, and sexual orientation on a variety of issues stemming from child behavioral problems, family dysfunction, domestic abuse, child abuse, substance additions, individual identity, and relationship problems.

A practical approach to Solution Focused Therapy is targeted by establishing goals. A question therapists are taught centers around asking what is commonly referred to as the “miracle question” such as “If a miracle occurred while you were asleep tonight, what changes would you notice in your life tomorrow?” The idea is that this opens up one’s mind to creating a plan to reach a goal. Some believe it works.  Some believe it doesn’t.  That’s really not important.  What’s important is that the individual is exercising the muscles in their mind.  They’re allowing their imagination to be – imaginative.  They’re solving for emotional math equation without numbers. Seeking out the motivations that reside within you bring out virtues unique to you.  You have to solve for a problem that is specialized in a sense, and possibly have profound impacts in your life.

By doing this exercise, we will begin to chart small, pragmatic ways to make changes in your life to achieve your goals.

Sound like a futurist to you?  Your predictions based on your own (self) trends.  You are going to attempt.  We will teach out how to recognize pitfalls and appreciate successes. We will show how to pivot and prevail.  Solutions are never static, as they are evolving and dynamic – just like you.

Strength Based Therapy

Openness. Backbone. Calmness. Temperance. Awareness. Kindness. Bravery. Courage. Playfulness. Candor. Values. Rationality. Humbleness. Confidence. Optimism. Humor. Curiosity. Realistic. Morality. Creativity. Determination. Diligence. Discipline. Purposeful. Respect. Vigor. Fairness. Resilient. Forgiveness. Reason. Caring. Passionate. Gratitude. Humility. Ethics.

All of these things have something in common as they are depicting strengths.  The problem is that people often hear the opposite. If people complemented people more, we’d be out of jobs as therapists and Twitter might be the eutopia is was initially designed to be.  People tend to measure strength based on someone’s physical stature, but in the realm of psychology, “strong” people go through the same tribulations as the rest of society. While strengths do involve skills, strengths are more than what people do. They are traits that encompass who they are and apply across many different situations in someone’s life. In the psychological perspective, inner strengths are cognitive and emotional capabilities that provide people with ways to direct their thoughts and behaviors in positive and productive ways. To develop inner strengths, individuals must first take the time to get to know themselves better. Individuals need time to self-reflect to understand personal aspirations, values, limits, and goals. In a way, building inner strength is a journey of self-discovery and self-growth. It serves as a path towards a better version of the individual

As such, Strength Based Therapy focuses on an individual’s inner strengths instead of trying to fix weaknesses or deficits.  In most therapies, identification of deficiencies is at the root of the analysis when therapists analyze subjects. The tenets of Strength Based Therapy focus is to set up a positive mindset that helps you build on your best qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience, and change your worldview to one that is more positive. At Warrior Heart Therapy, we prescribe to the notion that every individual has inherit values.  Being objective in recognizing those values is often difficult as many people fail in acknowledging their own character strengths. Instead, most people choose to subject themselves with an identity consumed by faults, flaws, and weaknesses.

Unfortunately, this leads to people subjecting themselves to character assignation of the self. The strength-based approach allows people to see themselves at their absolute best.  It supports highlighting the values people bring by simply being themselves. We encourage people to bring authenticity and capitalize on their strengths instead of focusing on their negative characteristics. We endorse a position that people can discover hidden strengths when they are challenged through adversity and hardship.

With Strength Based Therapy, we help guide people towards forming positive bonds from within, which in turn shapes their actions in their lives.

Gottman Method

The Gottman method is one of the most popular types of therapy for people wanting to increase intimacy using intense, tailored couples therapy. Many couples can benefit from the Gottman approach. It is an evidence-based form of couples therapy that strives to assist couples in achieving a deeper sense of understanding, awareness, empathy, and connectedness within their relationships that ultimately leads to heightened intimacy and interpersonal growth.

Couples learn to replace negative conflict patterns with positive interactions and to repair past hurts. Interventions designed to increase closeness and intimacy are used to improve friendship, deepen emotional connection, and create changes which enhances the couple’s shared goals.

• Conducting an Assessment - The assessment process involves both joint and individual interviews with the couple. The couple then fills out questionnaires and receives feedback on their relationship.

• Building a Framework - During a conversation between the couple and the therapist, they decide together on the sessions’ duration and frequency going forward.

• Enabling Intervention - The therapist designs interventions that focus on friendship, conflict management, and the creation of shared meaning to help a couple strengthen their relationship. With guidance, couples learn to use positive interactions to replace negative conflict patterns. Interventions are designed to achieve shared goals, deepen emotional connections, and improve friendship.

The Gottman Method attends to the impact of negativity on relationships. Some couples are driven apart by their negative patterns because how they address problems is inevitably handled in such a way that makes the situation worse. As such, the method is built upon a foundation of 9 core principles that build a healthy relationship inclusive of (1) building love maps, (2) developing fondness and admiration, (3) physically facing one another, (4) establishing positive perspectives, (5) collectively managing conflicts, (6) supporting each other’s dreams and aspirations, (7) creating shared meanings, (8) fostering trust, and (9) and maintaining commitment.  All people have natural defenses that inhibit their ability to effectively communicate and connect with their partners and using the Gottman Method has proven an effective method in lowering those defenses.

The Gottman Method teaches couples how to make small, positive changes in how they deal with and dialogue about problems in order to prevent further erosion to the relationship. At Warrior Heart Therapy, we believe that everyday interactions can become opportunities to build quality connections. We help with what’s important in relationships by enabling each partner’s abilities in approaching one another through positive orientation. Warrior Heart Therapy creates an environment for couples that enables greater stability and empathy so that arguments and otherwise upsetting situations are limited and lessen the chance of decoupling couples
